Now Accepting Georgia Promise Scholarship

The state of Georgia has established the Georgia Promise Scholarship Program which is now accepting applications for the upcoming school year. The Georgia Promise Scholarship was created to empower families with more control over their children's education by providing state-funded scholarships to those in low-performing public schools.
We are currently in the process of reaching out to families regarding applying for the Georgia Promise Scholarship in order to obtain funding to be able to attend Open Bible Christian School. The current level of funding is up to $6500 per student. Students who are zoned in districts serving S.L. Mason Elementary, W.G. Nunn Elementary, J.L. Newbern Middle, Quitman Elementary, Brooks Middle, and Berrien High may qualify for these state funded scholarships.
The current window for submitting applications for scholarships closes on June 30. Parents can go out to mygeorgiapromise.org to apply. If they wish to enroll in Open Bible Christian School, they simply need to contact the office at (229) 244-6694 and we will be happy to set up a tour, an interview, and answer any questions they might have.
Unfortunately, this program is not available to current students or students who do not live in the above listed areas. (We encourage you to contact your state representative(s) and tell them to make it available to everyone.) However, if you know anyone who might be interested in enrolling in Open Bible, you can refer them and take advantage of the new family referral program. If they enroll based on your referral, you can receive tuition credit for your family saving you money on tuition. We would love to see more families take advantage of this in-house program. If you have questions about it, review the information below or contact the school office for more details.
